At Light Drawn Studios, we are committed to inspiring the human spirit... inspiring people to love more, remember more, give more, feel more. It is with that philosophy that each portrait is created. It is our profound belief that portraiture is the perfect way to preserve more of the inspired human spirit.
We are in the business of people just as much as we are in the business of creating fine portraiture. Since starting her career as a professional photographer in 2002, April Graves (owner and artist) has discovered that the two nuances are bound together – one breathing life into the other. Our clients’ relationships with the studio reach far beyond the camera.
“...Not only is April our family’s photographer, we consider her a friend.”
It is April's keen sense of human nature that helps her to create portraits that are just as unique as her subjects. She has often said that she does not see the perfect image when she captures it, but rather feels it. It's the way a mother breathes in her newborn baby as if he was her air, the way a husband looks at his wife of 40 years as if today was the first day they met, the way an older sister watches over her younger sibling, the way a father can tell a story that gets the whole family giggling. Those are the moments, that as parents, we wish to preserve – forever ingrained in our memories. With exquisite portraiture from Light Drawn Studios, our clients receive that and so much more from their final portraits.
“...April brings an amazing creativity and the ability to capture our children’s individual personalities in her portraits...”
As a wife and mother of two, April Graves (owner and photographer) truly appreciates how fleeting those moments in life are. In a blink of an eye, your babies are no longer babies, your children become teenagers, and the next thing you know they are heading off to college. The heirloom portraits that hang in a person's home are the finest way to reflect upon those once in a lifetime moments.
"...April's portraits are truly works of art..."
